The cultural department of Gent is changing a bit in 2015. To announce their new structure and to remind people about their function, they were looking for an campaign image. A little sneak peak of a part of the illustration, though I still have to change some things!
The illustration I made of the orange giant is for the campaign Gent Kleurt Oranje. In 2015 Gent remembers ‘the United Netherlands’ of 1815 under the reign of King Willem 1. During that period the textile industry flourished, the university of Gent got big, the canal ‘Gent-Terneuzen’ came into existence,… So this year several activities will take place in musea, theater and lots more. The website is in Dutch.
I got to make the artwork for this campaign! In a few weeks the animated promo film will be launched, you’ll find it here then.
So, I have created a separate blog/tumblr for all my cat-related stuff. It’s also the place to follow up on the new animated short I’m working on: Catherine. I got the amazing news that I’ll get some funding by the VAF (Flemish Audiovisual Funding), thank u so much! I’ll put animation tests and character designs and lots more on the other blog. So, go and take a look!
